Why does Charlotte Prep raise funds outside of tuition?

Charlotte Prep is one of only 3% of independent schools in the United States whose operations are 100% fully funded through tuition and fees. Raising money outside of tuition allows Charlotte Prep to fund important improvements to its facilities and programs while keeping tuition as affordable as possible.

What is a matching gift?

Matching gifts are contributions that come from employers whose employees support non-profit organizations. Often, employers will match up to three times the gift from their employees. Employers may also match gifts from retirees, directors, and even spouses. Click here to find out if your company offers a matching gifts program. You could double, or possibly triple, the impact of your gift each year with a matching gift!

What is the history of The Prep Campaign?

Prep has held an annual fundraising campaign since it became a not for profit entity in 2012. Over $ 1.5 million in unrestricted gifts has been invested into the school, providing meaningful enhancements beyond tuition dollars.
