Summer Adventures at Prep runs June 9 - July 25 and is closed on June 19 and June 30 - July 4.

Lego/STEM Camp
Theatre Camp
(Rising Grades 1-8)
The PlayTime Summer Program at Charlotte Prep is an exciting, week-long creative adventure where students collaborate to develop and present an original short play. Through a blend of improvisational games, skit development, and character creation, campers explore themes of humor and suspense in a fun and supportive environment. The program emphasizes teamwork, creative expression, and the joy of storytelling, culminating in a final performance at the end of the week. Students work in groups, develop their own characters, and learn stagecraft, for an experience that promises to be both educational and enjoyable.
MasterChef Jr. Camp
Rising Grades 1-8
Our one-week Summer Cooking Camp for grades 1-8 is the perfect opportunity for young chefs to discover the joy of cooking in a fun, hands-on environment. Campers will learn essential kitchen skills, explore a variety of cuisines, and create delicious dishes from scratch, all while making new friends and developing teamwork skills. Each day features exciting, age-appropriate activities, including cooking challenges, food-themed games, and interactive lessons on nutrition and food safety. From homemade pizzas and fresh pasta to sweet treats and smoothies, kids will have the chance to explore their creativity and taste their culinary creations. By the end of the week, campers will have gained confidence in the kitchen and leave with lasting memories and new recipes to share with family and friends.
Field Trip Camp
Rising Grades 5-8
Join us for an exhilarating week-long summer field trip camp packed with adventure and learning! Campers will kick off their journey at Carowinds, experiencing thrilling rides and attractions that blend fun with physics. Next, they’ll dive into hands-on science exploration at Discovery Place, where interactive exhibits ignite curiosity. The excitement continues at the Museum of Illusions, where mind-bending displays challenge perceptions and spark creativity. A visit to SEA LIFE Charlotte Concord will take campers beneath the waves, showcasing incredible marine life and fostering a love for ocean conservation. Finally, the week wraps up with a day of outdoor fun at the Whitewater Center, where participants can enjoy kayaking, zip-lining, and hiking in a beautiful natural setting. This camp promises a perfect mix of education, adventure, and unforgettable memories!
Nike Soccer Camp
Rising Grades 1-8
Elevate your child's soccer skills at the Nike Soccer Camp at Charlotte Prep School. Whether your young athlete is just starting or looking to sharpen their technique, this camp offers the perfect mix of skill development, fun, and camaraderie in a supportive environment. Located in the heart of Charlotte, the camp provides easy access for local families and offers a top-tier training experience for children across the region.

A.I. Pioneers
Rising Grades 5-8
AI Pioneers is a project-based artificial intelligence primer for middle schoolers. Our emerging engineers will learn how to create projects for social good with Python programming language. Through hands-on coding, students will learn how computers can use data to solve complex problems like natural language processing and computer vision. Led by Stanford, MIT, and Ivy League alumni and grad students, students will explore the ways they can meaningfully use AI to predict heart disease, create social robots, assist with disaster relief, and navigate autonomous vehicles.
In our curriculum, we emphasize ethical responsibility, career paths in artificial intelligence, and interdisciplinary applications! Traditional Camp
Would your student prefer to attend a traditional summer camp, with arts, crafts, sports, drama, Spanish, water time, and other fantastic surprises? We've got you covered, offering traditional camps in parallel with our specialty camps all summer long. We even have a junior counselor experience for our graduating 8th graders! Campers will be grouped by age and provided with hands-on activities designed specifically for them.
Traditional Summer Camp is available all the same weeks as our themed camps for the price of $450 (full-day 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) or $250 (half-day 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. OR 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.). Our Junior Counselors Program (graduating 8th graders only) costs $250 for full-day.
