Overview:
Charlotte Preparatory School has an opening for a middle school assistant volleyball coach for the Fall season. The position is responsible for coaching student-athletes in volleyball skills and teamwork to prepare them for the upcoming season competitions. Previous volleyball and coaching experience preferred.
Reports to: Renee Suttles, Athletic Director, and Head Volleyball Coach, Mandi Mohammed
This position is a part-time coaching position beginning in August 2025.
Requirements
The primary duties of the position are:
- Holds tryouts for team prospects and encourages students to participate.
- Assesses skills and determines team members and assigns team positions.
- Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.
- Coaches and instructs players, individually and in groups, regarding the sport's rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques.
- Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are maintained.
- Models sportsmanship-like behavior and reflects appropriate conduct towards players, the school community, officials, and spectators.
- Communicates with the Head Coach regarding policies, procedures, performances, and problems.
