Charlotte Prep

parents’ association

The Charlotte Prep Parents’ Association is a fun and social way for parents to be involved with their child’s school.

Through meetings, volunteer opportunities, and events, we help foster thoughtful conversations at school and at home while supporting parents as their child’s academic and social journey unfolds.

School & Parent Partnership

Research clearly shows that a positive partnership between home and school has a powerful influence on a child’s achievement and sense of belonging in the school. Parent volunteers enrich daily school life and enable teachers to focus on their most important jobs – teaching. Charlotte Prep strongly encourages parents to become involved in the school and to nurture a partnership with the school administration, faculty, and staff.

Partnership Pledge

A parent volunteer passes out cotton candy.

All Prep parents and guardians are part of the Parent Association. The PA helps to facilitate parent communication, cooperation, and involvement; promote a strong sense of community; and support the school’s mission, programs, and activities.

annual events

At Prep, we treasure the parents, guardians, grandparents, grandfriends, and friends who share in celebrating and contributing to the success of our students. From parents engaged in volunteer roles on campus to visits from beloved grandparents and friends during special events to financial support from families who have already passed through our halls, we simply could not grow and prosper without the support and involvement of the entire Prep community.

Fall Festival

A kickoff to the school year that the whole family will enjoy! Meet new and veteran Charlotte Prep families in a carnival atmosphere with rides, games, and prizes. Volunteers are needed for the day of the event to set up, decorate, run games, paint faces, clean up, and more.

Preppy's Holidat Market

The PA hosts this event for our students to shop for gifts for their friends and family for Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, upcoming birthdays, or any holiday they celebrate.

BACK TO SCHOOL - FACULTY & STAFF BRUNCH

The PA welcomes back the faculty and staff with a catered brunch on their first day back to Charlotte Prep.

CHARLOTTE PREP GALA & AUCTION

The annual Charlotte Prep Gala is a volunteer-driven event. Parents, relatives, staff, and friends turn out for an evening of good food, lively entertainment, and an opportunity to support the school through a targeted fundraising opportunity. The funds raised at previous auctions have benefited our students and school in many ways. In recent years, auction proceeds have provided extensive professional development opportunities to faculty and staff, classroom technology enhancements, lighting and curtains for our stage, and upgrades to our playgrounds.

Scholastic BOOK FAIR

In the spring, the book fair is held on campus in conjunction with Grandparents & Special Friends’ Day. Parent volunteers organize and run the book fair. These events help foster a lifelong love of books and reading, enrich classroom libraries, and raise funds for the school.

FACULTY & STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Each spring, the PA coordinates a week-long celebration of our faculty and staff. This includes decorations, gifts, meals, and more to show our appreciation for the dedicated team who love and serve our students every day.

GRANDPARENTS & SPECIAL FRIENDS' DAY

A lovely Charlotte Prep tradition! Volunteers help decorate and welcome guests for this beautiful event filled with special performances honoring our grandparents and special friends.

Opportunities to be Involved

Charlotte Prep strongly encourages parents to become involved in the school and to nurture a partnership with the school administration, faculty, and staff.
