Alison Brannock has over a decade of experience teaching middle school mathematics, having previously worked at Lake Norman Charter School and Carmel Middle School. Alison was inspired to pursue teaching by an incredible algebra teacher she had growing up—someone who made math feel accessible, meaningful, and human. She loves algebra and especially enjoys working with middle school students as they balance being kids at heart while learning who they are and who they want to become. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is watching students who once believed they “weren’t good at math” gain confidence and realize their own capabilities.

Outside the classroom, Alison deeply loves art and creativity and enjoys painting with acrylics, crafting, interior design, refinishing furniture, and tackling DIY projects—interests she often brings into the school community through creative clubs and activities.

Charlotte Prep employee since 2025
