Abril Purnell brings nine years of experience in early childhood and elementary education, as well as enrichment programming, to her role at Charlotte Prep. She has a background in designing engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction, managing classrooms, and fostering supportive learning environments where students and their families feel connected. She was drawn to Charlotte Prep for its collaborative, family-centered community, and is passionate about helping students grow, build confidence, and discover their strengths. She strives to create meaningful connections and supportive spaces where every child can thrive and feel empowered in their learning.

Outside of school, Abril loves cooking. An interesting fact about her: She used to tap dance.
