Education: Mickey Stone has decades of experience in education, program leadership, and the performing arts. He has taught drama, reading, and speech at several middle and high schools, coordinated performing arts programs, led after-school initiatives, and served as a team leader and Junior Thespians coordinator, giving him a broad perspective on engaging and inspiring students. At Prep, Mickey oversees programs that allow every student to explore their passions–whether in the arts, sports, STEM, or other areas–and he is committed to creating opportunities that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. He values the diversity of students and staff, the strong sense of community at Prep, and the chance to see students’ imagination come alive as they learn. Outside of work, Mickey is a devoted musical theatre fan, makes yearly trips to Broadway, holds season tickets to the Blumenthal in Charlotte, and performed in shows and parades at Walt Disney World for four years.
