Dawn Tenev has over 20 years of experience teaching upper elementary and middle school English and humanities. Prior to joining Charlotte Prep, she taught at Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy, The Brearley School in New York City, and the Edward Devotion School in Massachusetts. She loves working closely with students in small classes and values the strong relationships she builds with both students and colleagues. Dawn is especially passionate about curriculum design and finds great joy in creating projects and assignments that truly resonate with students and spark meaningful engagement. 

Outside the classroom, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
