Education: Montessori Leadership Certificate, Whole School Leadership Institute Montessori Primary Certification, American Montessori Society B.S., Education, Miami University B.A., Spanish, Miami University Sharon Vanella has dedicated her career to early childhood education, bringing decades of experience in Montessori and elementary classrooms. She began her career teaching at Gil Sanchez Elementary and interning at Gloria Dei Montessori in Ohio, and then served as a Montessori teacher and director at Charlotte Montessori School, but was first hired at Charlotte Prep in 1998. Since joining Charlotte Prep, Sharon has been a Montessori teacher and now leads the early school division, guiding both students and faculty with a focus on individualized learning and holistic development. She is passionate about meeting each child where they are, nurturing curiosity, and creating a supportive environment where young learners can grow. Sharon also values the collaborative and warm environment at Prep and works to ensure that both teachers and students are supported and inspired every day. Outside of school, Sharon loves spending time outdoors–gardening, hiking, playing or attending sports, and hunting for shells at the beach. Charlotte Prep employee since 1998
