Education: Bethany Orr brings more than 30 years of experience in elementary and middle school education, with more than 20 years focused on upper elementary math. Before joining Charlotte Prep, she taught in schools in North Carolina, Texas, and Georgia. Bethany loves helping students see math as more than memorization, instead encouraging them to recognize patterns, solve problems, and build confidence. Her mission at Charlotte Prep is to create a rigorous and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable taking academic risks and developing their problem-solving resilience. Outside of school, Bethany enjoys attending musicals, spending time on her back porch watching birds, and having game nights with her family. An interesting fact about Bethany: She taught herself to use AI tools and vibe coding to build custom learning dashboards and classroom tools for students. Charlotte Prep employee since 2026 |
