Susan McGovern has spent her career helping middle school students build confidence and find success in mathematics. She previously taught middle school math at Greenwich Country Day School and Grand Avenue Middle School in Bellmore, New York. Susan always knew she wanted to be a teacher; as a child, she would give her own worksheets to her brother while she played teacher. At Charlotte Prep, she loves the school’s small size and the opportunity to deeply know each student, and her goal is to make middle school years a little easier and more approachable to her students. She especially enjoys helping students succeed in math when they believe they are “bad at it.”

Outside of school, Susan loves watching documentaries, spending time with her family and their dog, Maya.
