Education: Lina began her career in education in Colombia as an educational psychologist, where teaching personal development and health sparked her passion for working in the classroom. She later transitioned into multilingual teaching, intentionally weaving language and culture into her work. Since moving back to the United States, she has focused on multilingual education, helping students connect language learning with cultural understanding. Lina loves being part of the Charlotte Prep community because of its celebration of diverse cultures and its strong emphasis on empathy and respect. She values the curiosity students bring to learning and finds joy in helping them build confidence, appreciate differences, and grow into thoughtful global citizens. For Lina, teaching is deeply meaningful because it allows her to connect with children, see the world through their eyes, and support their growth as communicators and compassionate individuals. Outside of school, Lina enjoys anything competitive or adrenaline-filled and is always up for a challenge—she doesn’t mind getting dirty, falling, or even losing along the way.
