School Spirit on Full Display
December 11th, 2025
The sprint to the holidays has offered many joyful opportunities to strengthen connection and deepen community among our students, families, and staff.
Our annual Grandparents and Special Friends’ celebration was a spectacular success from start to finish. Our students proudly performed musical pieces for a record number of guests before welcoming them into classrooms to experience the academic setting, view student work, and see the school through the children’s eyes—all a wonderful way to conclude our time together before Thanksgiving break. As one grandparent said to me, “I wish I could have gone to school here!”
When we returned, the energy remained high as students and staff embraced a week of creative dress themes, from pajama day to sports jersey day. These moments of fun culminated in our annual Pep Rally, a true highlight of the season. As a newcomer to the Prep community, I was genuinely moved by the school spirit on display as students cheered one another on and came together in the friendly faculty-versus-students basketball game. While the adults narrowly secured the win with a final-shot finish, the real victory was seeing students end the week with wide smiles and a deep sense of pride in their school.
We concluded this festive stretch by hosting our first-ever employee holiday party in the new dining hall. My wife, Amy, and I were overwhelmed with joy to welcome more than 120 colleagues and loved ones for an evening filled with laughter, great food, and meaningful connection.
As we head into December break, I am filled with pride and gratitude to lead this school. I hope we all take a moment to appreciate the richness of the Prep community and the joyful bonds that make our school such a special place. We have much to be grateful for—and much to celebrate—as Tigers.
Happy Holidays!
